Cats

I love cats. I can’t imagine a world without them. There are so many attributes to be admired about these beautiful creatures. Their behavior is an appealing combination of self-assuredness, independence, affection and mutually-satisfying interaction. My cats have brought great pleasure into my life. And a purring cat curled up in your lap is the best natural anti-stress, anti-anxiety treatment in existence.

I created my hybrid visit/sit service specifically for cats. I wish I could offer full pet sitting service for cats, but it would be impractical and not in the cat’s best interests. Most cats are territorial and they do not react well to significant changes in their environment or routine. Shoving your cat into a carrier and transporting him to a strange home, to be left with an unfamiliar person, would be extremely frightening and stressful for him. Because I usually have a dog or dogs in my home, this would add to the stress. But you still want your cat to enjoy some human contact, affection and play/mental stimulation if possible. So, the hybrid visit/sit is the answer.

As with my dogs, I could go on for days telling you all about the wonderful cats I’ve owned, extoling all the great attributes and recounting all the interesting stories – things you yourself have experienced with your own cats and already know all about. The reason I tell stories about other more unusual pets on the other animal pages is that most people don’t already understand how great those kinds of pets can be, as they do with cats and dogs. So, please don’t think I place cats anywhere but right up at the top, along with dogs, as the greatest pets in the world.
